When blasted clean, the original head c...Hi Mossy,<br /><br />When blasted clean, the original head cowling was paper thin in places and you could actually see through it in places where rust had penetrated. The replacement cowling is perfectly suitable and age accurate for the scooter even without the scoop and will work perfectly.<br /><br />I may amend the description in the actual blog to mention this as it is a worthy point.<br /><br />Really good original ones are getting hard to find.
